12 Necromancy at play.

And there, countless zombies were waiting for them.

"Hey hey, didn't you say we'll have dinner? Or did you say you'll have us for their dinner?" Kazein mocked John who was behind all of the zombies.

"Hmm, I did say we'll have dinner. I didn't say you too though." John was just relaxed and composed, meanwhile Aika disappeared.

"So my hunch was right. The storm was just a cover, it was strange that no matter how long we walked there were no signs of raining at all. I smell that there was fishy business going around." Kazein's hunch were correct. If a merchant's town is too silent, it might be that One: The trade commerce had weakened. Two: There is a criminal on the loose. Or Three: The whole town is destroyed. The answers are both two and three.

"You're scum if you think mere zombies could stop us. I'd take your head before you could even--" Suddenly, a zombie nabbed at her. She dodged, but went back to where she was after another zombie tried to bite her from behind.

"You're mistaken, these little pups I have are family. And they're just starving. Won't you feed them?" John was a viscous man.

Kazein said no more and just drew his sword, the same went for Anna.

As Kazein got on the offensive, he cut through the horde of zombies. By the time he arrived at John's, another horde buried into him.

Anna coated her sword with water magic and fought while trying to create distance from them and the zombies.

However, there were just too many. In no time they were fighting with lesser space. Kazein struggled since he couldn't see which section to finish off first.

As they fought for 2 hours straight.

"Hmm, this is getting boring. Why don't you two just die already? Ah, oh well. I wanted that you get enough energy to scream your lungs out. But I don't care anymore." As John was playfully watching them with a smile, it was then that Kazein reached his limit, and decided to once again use "that". Darkness covered him, and it entered through his eyes. That was when he had the surge of power.

Anna was already getting tired. And when she saw the state of Kazein, she was shocked. The pressure of the ability was 5 times more than what she saw at first.

Kazein hacked through faster than zombies came into him. Seeing this John began to panick.

"A monster! You're a monster! Eat him! Eat him now!!!" He ordered the zombies. As the zombies climbed on Kazein. It became silent. John had a crazy laugh "Hehehe finally you're dea-"

Then the group pressing down on Kazein turned to nothing but blood and bones. And there, Kazein stood as an executioner. His sword glowed brightly and blood flowed down his body. Then, he approached John all the while slashing and hacking the zombies aside.

When he reached the pant pissed John, he grabbed him by his collar and said "Say, were all these monsters made from everyone living here? The storm was just to cover the huge undead aura here, right? Mr. Necromancer?"

"So you knew as well?" Anna asked.

"Y yes. Everyone here are the people living here, I spread an epidemic and killed them all." John was terrified to the point he pissed his pants.

"All right, the darkness in your soul is enough to pay for the vitality I would have lost. A quick one?" Kazein asked.

"Yes, pls." John answered.

"Fine." Kazein drove the sword into John's heart. And the darkness from Kazein left him and returned to nothingness. "Get your bag, we're leaving now. Before the undead aura oozes out and neighbouring towns will send adventurers to investigate."

"I agree. We better get to Blue Cross city by the next two nights." Anna replied. With all said, Kazein and Anna left the town.
