13 Monsters of fire and water.

By dawn, a group of soldier's arrived at the town. Since the storm cover was gone. Everything could be seen. The ruins of the town, the burning bodies of zombies and the man with a sword wound by his heart, John.

"My grace, just how did things go out this way? I thought it was strange my family hasn't been replying to my letters, now I know what happened." A man said with a sad face.

"Don't despair, until we catch who turned everyone here into zombies, don't cry till then." A big man with a big sword by his back scolded those who whose family lived there.

As they cleaned up the bodies, they then proceeded back to where they came from, the southern economy giant, Blue Cross city.

On the road.

"Say, why are you always doing things unnecessary because of me? We don't even know each other for that long." Anna was flushed.

"Huh? What made you think that? All I do I do for my sake." Kazein raised his voice.

"But, you know. Doesn't that ability of yours consume your vitality? A while ago, I felt that the aura you emitted was stronger and more violent. Won't using it too much use a lot of vitality?" She seemed quite worried for Kazein.

"Huh? Didn't I tell you it's my life? I do what I want with it." Kazein sounded as if he was annoyed by Anna.

"Geez, I'm just worried, that's all. What's wrong with that?"

"Everything is. Who worries about someone they've been together with for only a fortnight?"

"A fortnight is long as well you know?!" Now Anna was angry. She got her sword and flailed it, Kazein just parried them with his sword's scabbard. When she got tired, she gave up and just stayed silent.

While traveling, Kazein would use every opportunity to tease Anna, and this made Anna get really pestered by Kazein. Who wouldn't? For the next 2 days you'll be traveling with someone who'll use every opportunity to tease you, even clowns won't laugh.

By the time they safely reached Blue Cross city, the checkpoints were far more stricter than usual. Even people from the holy light cathedral were there.

Kazein was cautious, he was scared those from the cathedral would do an exorcism test to see if anyone made contact with a demon. No one would be able to hide it by then. By the time Kazein passed the gates, a guard stopped them.

"Wait! You two! Come here for a while." A guard ordered them.

Kazein and Anna who doesn't want trouble, just went to where the guard was.

"What is it?" Kazein asked.

"I noticed you always had your eyes closed. Are you hiding something within your eyes?" The guard asked them.

"Hmph, how foolish. My eyes are just sensitive to light. If nothing else, we're going, we have something to do."

"Ah, yes. Go on, if that's all there is to it." The guard seemed confused. Suddenly, a big bang blasted in the gates.

"Everyone! Get out of here! We found a dark walker!!!" Another guard warned everyone there.

As the normal people ran off. Anna who was about to go help, was stopped by Kazein.

"Let me go! I can fight, I've recovered completely!" Anna struggled, but Kazein had the advantage of holding her from her Shigosen, with that she couldn't get free.

"Stop it, if we make a scene here it'd give us away. There is something we must hide. And also to the fact that we're from that town awhile ago." Kazein just dragged her away. As they were walking away, a woman flew above them, Anna saw this, Kazein just heard the whizzing of the wind. They paid no heed to her, but he woman noticed Kazein who had his eyes closed but was dragging away a woman.

When they were out of sight, Anna threw Kazein to a wall and grabbed his collar. "What were you doing back there?! If we went and helped they might've even given us some reward and credits. What's worst, you dragged me away from a demonic suppression!!! If the cathedral finds out I didn't participate in it if be killed!" Anna was furious, but Kazein was as calm as he always was.

"If we helped, they'd question where we came from before giving us rewards, they'd feel the residual undead aura wrapped around your sword. They'd question who we are. It'd be troublesome if they find me, the survivor of a village they are supposed to be protecting, is still alive." Kazein explained why he dragged Anna away from there. After explaining everything, Anna calmed down and let him go. "Thanks, you're strong, but under circumstances like this, you have to adapt and learn the advantage of unfavorable conditions." Kazein added.

Later on, they went on their search. When suddenly, a man covered in blood ran past them. He was being hunted down, the woman a while ago was just behind him. But the man running away, got to the slums. The woman flew higher to see where the man was. When she couldn't see any signs of the man she is hunting, she readied a magic spell and began a chant. Kazein felt the unusual magic fluctuations, and then the darkness within him once again entered his eyes. Anna felt it as well, and her water magic made a barrier for them. As Kazein took them to safety, the woman shot out her magic spell. It was a large ball of flame, it was so hot, the birds flying above were roasted. As it was about to hit the slums, it was stopped.

"Who dares to interrupt a demonic suppression?!" The woman above asked with an angry face. As her fire went out, below, another woman was flying.

"Ara, I am not interrupting the suppression. In fact we've caught the dark walker. I merely stopped Ms. Yan Zhi's attack before it caused some damage." The woman replied nonchalantly.

"What's this? It's just you, Aquarius. Why are you here?" Yan Zhi asked.

"Arara, did Ms. Yan Zhi forget? This is blue cross city. Not flaming mountains. So of course I'd be here. The question is, why Ms. Yan Zhi is here?" She again replied nonchalantly.

"Tsk, none of your business." As she flew away.

"My my, that woman is as hot headed as ever. I doubt she's even a woman. I think she's a lioness." She mocked Yan Zhi from behind.

Back down the ground, Kazein was sweating all over. But not from the heat, it's from the pressure of the two's powers colliding. Anna who saw this assisted Kazein as they went away from that place.
