4 A demon ready to devour.

As the demon laughed at Kazein, Kazein got down his knees and was disgusted.

"How the hell is she so bad it'd cause people to fall?" He muttered.

"Hahahaha!!! Now I regret even being jealous! Serves you right!" The demon laughed at him. It wasn't because he was weak that he blacked out once more, it was the girl's cooking that was so bad he collapsed due to even swallowing it, worst eating twelve spoons.

"Fuah~ You really are a legend. You didn't complain after she served you such sh*t. What are you a gentleman?" The demon made fun of him.

"Shut up, I was hungry, if I didn't force it down my throat."

"If you didn't you would have still been awake. It did you no good, just bad forcing to eat that stuff." The demon was right, if he just spoke the truth, he wouldn't have blacked out.

"Oh right. I heard your father say that to you. You believe it, do you?" The demon asked. Kazein went stiff, his face was so serious as though he had decision over life and death.

"Yeah, what of it?"

"Don't forget you have your duty to fulfill. Carry it with you always." The demon adviced.

"Yeah"

As his consciousness began to once again brighten, he remembered what his father said "Never forget! Love is the Death of Duty! All this happened because I loved your mother!" Those were the last words he heard before he dropped into oblivion.

He once again woke up, his blind eyes saw a blur. It was the girl who found him.

"You're awake, again. Thank goodness, I was worried on why you collapsed." She sighed with relief.

"Yeah. If you mind, can you get me some clothes? The ones I had with me were too torn apart." He requested.

But, before he could wait a minute, the girl already had clothes ready for him. It seems she already prepared them in case he wants to cover up his bandages.

A minute later, Kazein was dressed. His white eyes fit in with the black clothes he wore. When he got out, the girl was surprised, rather it wasn't because he was handsome and all, but it was the fact he could change clothes in less than a minute even though he's blind, he even walked as if he could see. The girl doubt if he really was blind, but when Kazein hit his toe on a table, her doubts were cleared off. She assisted Kazein to a chair and had him sit.

"I'm surprised, I've never seen someone blind but can walk as though he had eyes." She said.

"I'm blind, but I can see blur. My vision is clouded by a white blur that I can't even see a fly if it flew towards me." He replied.

"Well then, supper is ready, let's eat." She suddenly blurted out. Upon hearing this, Kazein was shocked.

"Cough, no no. I'm not yet hungry."

"Come on, it's bad to pass hunger over." She insisted.

"No no no. I can't do that, if I lie to myself, I'll forever be a liar." Kazein refused once more. Suddenly, the girl was sad.

"As I thought, my cooking is so bad you passed out, it's fine then. I'll eat it myself." She left the room with tears in her eyes.

Kazein just sat there. He didn't go after her, he stood up and looked at the window. He saw there were only a few houses there, about 5? Maybe more.

"This place is deterred as it is. The houses here are so old." He thought to himself. He then went back to the room he woke up at and slept early.

The next day, the girl was still sleeping, but she could smell something. Through this smell she awoke, and by her kitchen she saw Kazein cooking breakfast. The smell was nice, it was fragrant saying it is delicious. When Kazein looked back, he saw the blur standing up and walking towards him.

"You're awake? Good, get ready breakfast is-" "Slap!" The girl gave him a slap. "What was that for?" Kazein asked.

"Idiot! You're blind and yet you're cooking?! Look at your hands, it's all cut up." She scolded him with a barrage of hurtful words. But Kazein didn't mind, he just laughed it off.

At breakfast, on her first taste she was amazed. Her eyes grew and she was delighted, so delighted that she blurted out "Stay here with me! Take responsibility for why I won't be able to stop eating this!"

Kazein was shocked, did she even know what it looked like? If others heard, they would get the wrong idea. "Absolutely not!" He refused while having his face in shambles.

The girl whined out about it.

"Ah geez! I can't stay with you! I don't even know your name!" He yelled at her.

"Why not? If you stay with me I could help you with your life."

"I can do anything just fine." Kazein said with a bored voice.

"Fine! My name is Sheena! Now take responsibility for knowing my name!" She just suddenly yelled.

"What the hell is that?! Taking responsibility just cuz you heard one's name?! I've ne-ver he-ard any thing like that?"

"He he. I guess you got it by now. I'm from the Arrowhead clan! Sheena of the second homage." She proudly boasted.

"Arrowhead clan? What's that?" He asked with a stupid face.

This caused Sheena to be down, his words weighed her down. She was depressed and cried in a corner.

"Of course you don't know, we're just the shadow of the Balor clan. Of course normal village bumpkins won't know." She stated with a monotonous tone.

"I see. I get your rules but I don't understand. Fine, I'll take all responsibility." Kazein replied.

Then, Sheena cheered up, she smiled and then continued to eat. They then chatted through the day. Outside two old man on the fields spoke to each other.

"Well why now? Sheena hasn't come out to ask for crop rejects. Is she not home?" An old man asked his friend.

"I don't know. But she took an injured youth home a week ago. Even when those rogues came to find him, she just lied of not seeing him." The other one replied.

"Maybe she's nursing him to health. I heard her talking to someone late that night. Maybe he woke up."

"That's great, then we should go and give some vegetables to them. It'd be good if the youth gets back to health." The old man told his friend.

"Yes. Let's go tonight." The other replied.

That night.

"Husband! Let's sleep!" She cheerfully spoke.

"Isn't it too early?" Kazein asked.

"It's fine. I want to show you something tomorrow so we should be early." She spoke like a brat insisting on what he wants.

"Fine fine." As they laid together, Sheena use Kazein's arm as a pillow. But Kazein didn't forget what he had to do. As soon as Sheena fell asleep, he removed his arm from being an arm pillow. Then, he put a knife to her neck, at first he was hesitant. After all, he promised to take responsibility, but he also has the duty of fulfilling the contract, not to mention what he believes in.

As he was thinking, the old men came in. And they saw Kazein putting a knife to her neck. They were shocked. Kazein in an instant, knocked them out gently and caught their fall, then left the there. He then left a letter beside the sleeping Sheena, and left. In the dead of night and into the dark forest.
