November 25, 1980, twins were born in the Xia family. The Xia family was one of the most prominent families in the country. Fame and money was never their concern. The whole family was happy for their eldest brother, Xia Ling and eldest sister, Liu Ning to have been blessed with little angels, except for the youngest couple of the family Xia Ming and Liu Xiaoling. It was a day of great celebration. The whole family was present at the main house for the welcoming party. The decorations were beautiful and pompous. The whole lawn was embellished with beautiful lights of white, yellow and multi colours. Dinner table was filled with a great variety of dishes. The most popular piano and violin artists were there to add to the pleasure. The whole area had a strong aroma of happiness in it. Everyone was happy. But who knew about the misfortune that was about to befall them.

On the way from hospital the car had an accident. It was crushed by a truck. The whole family of four was immediately sent to the hospital. But unfortunately the parents along with one of the twins were severely injured and died. Only the younger twin Xia Chin-sun survived. This news was a huge shock to the family especially old man Xia. He could not bear the news of death of his most cherished son and daughter-in-law. His health deteriorated. He was admitted to the hospital yet the heart attack caused his death. In a single night madam Xia, Wan Do lost her child , husband and grandchild. The loss was huge and it made her loose her nerves. She became quite, as quite as a grave.

The wheels of fate had turned over for the Xia family. The stocks fell. And in all this everyone had forgotten about the little life who lost all her family in a single day. Instead Liu Xialing blamed her for the misfortune of the whole family. She was made the cause and was cursed. This was the beginning of Chin-sun's life as a curse in her family.
