20 Chapter 19: Chapter 19

INT: FOREST, CAVE – DAWN.

Olivia's POV.

I woke up in a cozy room; in a huge canopy bed. I sighed, what a good night sleep. I thought.

I left for the garden which was after a glass door reaching from the ground to the ceiling of the room.

The fresh scent of dew, the scent of the beautiful flowers; white roses on each sides of the lane, the refreshing feeling of the air. I admired the spring water gushing out peacefully, a wooden chair lay beneath a huge apple tree filled with lots of fruits.

I sighed. I strolled to meet the beautiful stream which seem to divide the garden, it has a one lane bridge leading to the other side.

I touched the shimmering water, it felt so cool.

I felt someone hold me on my waist, his hand strolling down my thighs, and then up reaching beneath my bossom. Who could that be, I thought.

I turned to meet Ethan;

"Good morning your highness." He teased.

I sighed, then pout. "Stop flattering."

He grinned. "I was thinking you won't wake up."

"I did wake up." I snapped.

"No, you're still asleep." He said convincingly.

I frowned. Thunder claps, then everything seem to become blur and clearer at the same time. I was slowly drifting into consciousness.

I woke up with a heavy gasps. It was raining heavily, thank goodness we stopped by a cave earlier.

"Ethan!" I looked around.

I sighed. He was outside playing a watchman under this heavy rainstorm; This madness has to stop. I thought.

I got up to meet him under the rain; it's been two days since we continued on our journey to L'rindell. I could tell we were close to the shores from the scent of the seas.

"Ethan! What are you doing?" I asked.

He glanced at me, he wasn't aware I was awake yet. "You should get in Olivia, lest you catch a cold." He said calmly.

I scowled at him. "I'm not going in without you." I said obstinately.

He sighed. "Ok, it's okay."

He followed me in, I leading the way holding his hand.

He was still so Sicky, he looked so pale and emaciated. I tried convincing him to let me give him my blood but as always he is pigheaded.

What are my going to do with this man? I thought, I was frustrated, I was sad and angry at the same time.

I was his cure and his torment.

He slumped to the ground, holding his chest. He spat out some black blood.

"Ethan please." I pleaded.

"Olivia we've been through this." He said sternly.

I stared at him, the shadows of death plain in his eyes, I could feel him drowning and loosing it.

Irene had said he had just two days left and that two days was over. I allowed tears to flow freely from my eyes, I was loosing him and he obstinately won't let me save him.

I held him tight to myself, trying to stop the free flow of life out of him. It was obvious the poison had reached his heart.

"Olivia." He gasped. "I have something to tell you."He managed to say.

"Ethan don't tell me goodbye, I won't let you go. I would rather follow you." I sobbed.

He gazed at me weakly, his eye lids feeling heavy on him. "Even in my dead you remain optimistic." He grinned.

"Ethan, stop this." I snapped. "Where is your knife?" I asked checking his body for his knife; Since he wasn't going to take my blood willingly, I would make him do it.

I brought out his dagger. I stabbed my hand with it, but my blood quickly evaporated into thin air and it closed so quickly not even a trace of blood left. I did it three more times but the same thing happened. I cried profusely trying to do it again. It caused me a lot of pain but it was nothing compared to losing Ethan.

He held back my hand firmly. "What are you doing?" He asked startled.

"I'm saving the man I love." I snapped.

I gulped. "I'm saving you Ethan. I love you Ethan and I can't let you die." I added.

He stared at me startled.

Ethan's POV.

He wasn't sure how to feel, or maybe he couldn't feel anything at all. Now he knew what he had been missing. He loved Olivia but he had never told her he did.

He remembered the night she first said she loved him, but he hadn't took it serious because he was sure she said it unknowingly.

He understood that letting himself die would be selfish because it would hurt Olivia a lot.

Olivia was offering her blood to him freely; he knew that after drinking her blood things won't be the same again.

His life would be prolonged greatly, his werewolf senses heightened and most of all the thirst for a Xphynx blood.

If he bites her, the both of them would become mates.

He sighed weakly.

"Ethan please." I pleaded

He grinned, then sits up.

He placed his hand on my chin. "I love you too Olivia." He said.

He kissed me passionately on my lips making me taste every part of his mouth. He slowly traced his lips towards my neck sniffing on my neck making me moan involuntary.

I could feel his weak warm breath on my neck; he was struggling to stay alive.

He licked my neck making me feel the tip of his fangs which seem to be a warning that he was ready.

He bit me on my neck sucking my blood. I felt a strange sensation when he bit me, I could feel my life flowing literally into him. I could sense an exchange going on between us; like I could feel every inch of him, I felt his emotions, his memories, I felt the pleasure he gained from drinking my blood.

At the same time, I felt weak and dizzy. I couldn't hold on for long anymore, but I didn't care.

I needed to save him. He let's go of me.

"Are you okay?" He asked regretfully.

I stared at him, I watch his skin tone changing back to normal. My blood was healing him already.

"I'm —I'm fine?" I said. "I just need to—" I gasp and slumped on him.

I was really tired but happy that I saved him.
