Eric clarified to himself continually as his eyes gazed at her long eyelids fluttering like a butterfly.. Her pink lips seemed like the purest invitation to him as if it was made for kissing passionately..

Subconsciously, he gulped the saliva inside his mouth mixed with some impulse feelings lingering in the core of his mind.

I feel like, nowadays my body isn't hearkening to me anymore!!!

Lilianah ambled more closer to him as she inquired again in her intense enchanting voice,

" Did you??? "

As his lips split up barely to argue something, Someone pushed the door of the room to open and a man was completely frozen standing in his spot when he noticed that intimate act in front of him.

Over the couch, Eric was leaned backwards as Lilianah's delicate face was extremely close to his thin lips.. Anybody could surmise that they were about to kiss each other.

Edmund mumbled blinking his eyes awkwardly,

" Errr.. I.. I thought that.. you have called.. me.. prince.. I'm..extremely.. sorry.. to.. bother.. you.. "

Eric hastily got up from the couch and began explaining precipitously,

" Don't get any erroneous idea, Edmund.. We.. we were just conversing to each other.. Send princess Lilianah back to her castle right now."

Edmund looked up to observe Eric's face which appeared a little bashful then turned back to observe the girl's expression sitting on the couch who was remained as nothing happened there at all.

Lilianah rolled her eyes as she blabbered in her mind!!

I didn't do anything..

You don't need to give me that dubious look!!

I was merely teasing him for a while !!!

Edmund pleaded politely waving his hand towards the door as still seemed horrified,

" Princess.. Please follow me this way.. "

Lilianah got up and walked towards Eric, thus chuckled before saying clearly,

" Goodbye Master. See you tomorrow then.. "

Eric hummed coldly looking down at the floor as he noticed Lilianah was stepping out of the room from the corner of his eyes.

He looked up to catch sight of her leaving through the door but unexpectedly, she turned back to glimpse him and gave a devilish wink before walking out again with grinning.

Eric was like, "...."

The gloomy nightfall down deeply around the North city kingdom.. Everything seemed quiet as the people were all inside their respective residences at that time.

After reaching back from Eric's castle, Lilianah headed to upstairs and directly laid down on her bed as she was exhausted for climbing up to the mountain.

Sia was pouring a glass of water in downstairs as suddenly, the door was opened loudly by someone and she turned back to admonish that culprit but became stunned instantly!!

Over the door, Jack's arm was bleeding profusely and he was missing his paces while stepping inside.. Sia ran towards him hastily and held him tightly in her arms.

Sia was extremely panicked hence asking him,

" Jack, what happened to you??

Oh my god!!

You're bleeding.. "

Jack peeked around and inquired her hastily,

" Where's the princess??

Is she in the castle?? "

Sia nodded and answered blankly staring at his deep wound,

" Yes, she is.. "

Jack uttered panting heavily,

" I have already secured the castle. Don't come out of the room no matter what happens outside.. I reckon someone is attempting to attack the castle and the princess.. "

Sia looked frightened as she asked,

" Who is it??

Princess doesn't know anyone here. "

Jack shook his head anxiously and tried to explain to her,

" I don't even understand that.. Well, it's nothing exceptional to attack any royal member but I suspect that a mysterious organization is attempting to attack the castle..

How's the organization linked to the princess ??"

Sia stared at him worriedly then came back to her sense noticing his bleeding,

" Let's sit there first.. We have adequate time to discuss it later."

Jack didn't protest as he followed her towards the couch and sat down obediently.

A moments later, Sia appeared from upstairs carrying some herbal staffs along with some soft cotton in her hand.

Jack scanned her serious expression as she wiped the blood from his arm gently and applied a weird-smelling herb very delicately with sharp attention.

Jack smiled when he thought about that, for the first time they were in such a peaceful atmosphere without arguing with each other.

As the thought of something lingered in his mind, he queried looking at the girl sitting in front of him who was now busy in bandaging his arms,

" I heard from the guard that a boy entered the castle with you later in the afternoon..

Who was he?? "

Sia replied nonchalantly,

" Oh.. That was young prince Ellis.

Today we three have a task to accomplish from the academy as a team. So he came here to accompany us."

Sia continued smiling softly,

" He is very friendly with us, not like his elder brother at all.. "

That moment she didn't notice his face, there was a subtle bitterness flashing on Jack's face as he inquired her frowning,

" How can you let someone casually enter the castle??

You women are extremely effortless to believe someone so casually..

What if he has any ulterior motives?? "

Sia seemed puzzled as she responded confidently,

" Ellis isn't like that at all.. He is almost a good friend to us.. Moreover, you haven't met him yet. How can you say such a cheap opinion about him when you don't even know him?? "

Even Jack was speechless for a moment as he realised that he almost gave many reactions.

Why did he become irritated when Sia praised about Ellis heartily??

His face turned green in bitterness unintentionally and spoke harshly,

" You're also in the charge of safeguarding the princess.

How can you be so foolish about judging people around you??

Huh..

What else can I expect from a dummy like you?? "

Sia bit her lower lips in outrage as her hands tightened the bandage around his arm and blurted out angrily,

" Deal.. with.. your wound alone.. Jack Miller..

Hmph!! "

"Aaaahh.. ahha.. ", Jack screamed in pain as she deliberately tightened the bandaged around his arm and his face turned green in rage again.
