There's the story of 'The Tortoise and the Hare'. The hare is so confident in his speed that he takes a nap during the race. Meanwhile, the slow - but - steady tortoise keeps going and wins the race. This story shows children that being consistent and not overconfident can lead to success.

One characteristic is the use of simple and vivid language. Then she started to dance in front of the monkey's cage, thinking she was entertaining the monkey. The monkey just stared at her, which made all the people around her laugh.

Funny children short stories frequently involve animals acting like humans. Take 'The Bremen Town Musicians' for instance. The donkey, dog, cat and rooster all decide to become musicians and have all kinds of adventures together. This anthropomorphism makes the story fun and engaging for children. They also often have a happy ending which leaves children feeling good.

A stubborn boy in school refused to sit in his assigned seat. He said that his seat was boring and he wanted to sit by the window. The teacher tried to reason with him, but he wouldn't budge. So the teacher decided to make a game out of it. She said if he could answer a really hard math question, he could move. He tried so hard to answer it, and when he finally did, he moved to the window seat with a big smile on his face. It was a funny situation where his stubbornness led to an interesting classroom event.

Perhaps the story doesn't have the typical happy endings or fun adventures that children usually expect in a funny story. It could be full of complex emotions or difficult concepts that are not easily grasped by kids, thus not being a 'funny children story'.
