But when they use it, the resurrected beings come back wrong and bring horror and death. It plays on our fears of death and the unknown, as well as the consequences of trying to cheat death.

They experienced all sorts of terrifying things like cold spots, strange odors, and seeing apparitions. Doors would slam on their own, and they felt a sense of malevolence in the house. It was so scary that they fled the house not long after moving in.
