*** My health has been very poor this year alongside loosing my mother-in-law and cat so I'm sorry but this will be rewritten and finished when I'm well, I'm doing it all offline in my rare creative moments, hopefully with a more mature touch *** [WARNING: Mature Themes (smut, violence, murder, suicide, domestic violence, etc.)] --------- Waking up naked and alone with a murderer, without a single memory, she relies on System to understand her existence in another person's body. --------- Still don't know if you should read me? Here's a quick breakdown to help you make up your mind if this novel is right for you: This is my own twist on the QuickTransmigration System genre, giving it a more 'spiritual' twist. It explores sensitive themes throughout each arc and I will do my best to give trigger warnings at the start of chapters containing them. It is written in the first person and revolves around a female lead (FL). This is a weak-to-strong novel, she will have heavy flaws and make repeated mistakes and seem generally weak at the start, bear with her as she grows. Romance is a heavy theme within the story that contains a lot of smut, with more than one character. However, there is only one male lead in the end. The story is less about fluffy romance, instead, it's a journey of growth and self-discovery, revolving around the main storyline. Although, each Arc will have its own separate storyline that will have an impact on the main storyline with both new and reoccurring characters (so skipping arcs is not advised). I have currently written the rough drafts for four arcs at the point of writing this: 1. Ghosts & Guns 2. How do you keep a child alive in the Zombie Apocalypse? 3. Abducted by Aliens 4. Freed by the Fae Folk 5. .... --------- --------- Cover Art made by myself, using nightcafe AI Art, check out my page, I'm attempting to make novel art and character art for each arc: https://creator.nightcafe.studio/u/Raychbunni

Drinking under the moon

Drinking under the moon

The little duchess' life seems to be perfect, especially after her wedding with the most desired bachelor in the kingdom, the one who drove out all the monster from the Black Wood. Despite her father's initial protests, Iris is able to marry the love of her life and feels that the rest of her life will only be bliss. But not everything is what is seems at her new home and little by little secrets revail themselves, making Iris understand the reasons behind her father's protests. ---------------- Her wedding night found Iris more nervous than she thought. The maids bathed her and changed her into a nightgown which was semi transparent, the silhouette of her body being evident throughout the thin material. After the maids left she laid down on her bed, but only for a second. Her nerves didn’t let her lay there, she couldn’t even sit on it as she knew what was to come. Or at least she thought she knew as she, like all noble girls, was taught about the duty of a wife in the bedroom. But she didn’t know about the tingling in her stomach and the heat coming from inside her from those lessons. No, those were the feelings her now husband showed her with only a kiss. That thought made her touch her lips with her finger. She blushed when she remembered the kiss, the one that started all of this. It happened only a month ago, on a dark night with no stars in the sky and the moon hiding behind the dark clouds, promising a heavy rain. But not a single drop fell yet and the castle's garden was lit by small torches which trew trembling shadows on the ground. She could remember his hands touching her arched back and caressing it while his other hand touched her cheek before sliding behind her head, entangled in her beautifully done hair. He looked passionately into her eyes, his green eyes making her forget about anything else. The smell that came from him drew her closer until their lips touched and she closed her eyes, letting herself drown in that blissful feeling, in those hard arms. He made her forget everything outside their embrace. They forgot where they were and the reason they were there. They forgot about the ballroom full of chatting people, full of music and dance. It was only them at that moment, in the garden. “You son of a bitch!” a cry woke them and they separated from each other. “You will pay for this!”. The man that was screaming at them approached and before Iris realized what was happening, he punched her partner hard.

The meaning of drinking alone

There were two meanings to 'drinking alone.' From the literal meaning, it was the leftover wine that one drank alone. From a cultural point of view, this expression had a deeper meaning in poetry and other situations. For example, the "residual wine" in Li Qingzhao's "sleeping without residual wine" reflected the state of drinking in a specific situation, while "drinking alone" could sometimes express a lonely emotion, such as drinking alone after seeing through the world, or loneliness after experiencing the hustle and bustle. It was similar to a sigh or emotional expression of one's own situation. "The Crane Drinks the Spring Breeze" is equally exciting. Everyone is welcome to click and read it!

The metaphor and meaning of looking at the sword while drinking

There might be many kinds of metaphor and meanings to 'watch the sword while drinking.' From Xin Qiji's "Breaking the Enchantment·Composing a Strong Ci for Chen Tongfu", the action of looking at the sword in drunkenness implied the nostalgia for the past battle years and the emotion of unfulfilled ambition. Swords were weapons in ancient times, symbolizing martial strength, military power, and battle. For someone like Xin Qiji, who had military ambitions, watching a sword reflected his desire to kill enemies and serve his country on the battlefield. However, the "pitiful white occurrence" indicated that time had passed, and he was old but could not realize his dreams. There was a kind of lament that his ambition could not be fulfilled. In the context of ancient culture, the sword also had noble and chivalrous meanings. Looking at the sword with wine might also imply a yearning and nostalgia for chivalry or heroism. It was a reflection and reflection on one's noble character or past lofty aspirations. In addition, the combination of wine and sword, wine could often boost courage and express one's feelings. It might mean that when drinking, it could stimulate the pride and ambition in the depths of one's heart, or use wine to drown one's sorrows and express the helplessness of the gap between ideals and reality.
