I heard of a man who tried to sew a patch on his jeans. He put the patch on the wrong side and then sewed it on without realizing. When he put on the jeans, the patch was on the inside and he couldn't understand why his leg still felt cold. It was quite funny when he finally realized his mistake.
One story that stands out is about a lady who was making a dress. She got distracted while sewing and sewed the sleeve to the bodice in a really odd way. It looked like the dress had a deformed arm. It took her a while to figure out what she had done wrong.
