I really love 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker. The classic vampire story is just so captivating and creepy.
For me, 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley is the best. The idea of creating life and the consequences are truly spine-chilling.
My favorite horror novel has to be 'The Shining' by Stephen King. The isolation and psychological horror build up so well and it's just terrifying.
I have to go with 'Dracula'. The vampire theme, the mystery, and the sense of danger throughout the story always keep me on the edge of my seat.
My least favorite horror story is 'The Ring'. The idea of a cursed videotape that kills you after you watch it is just too creepy for me. The constant feeling of being watched by the girl from the tape, Sadako, is really unnerving.
I like 'The Haunted Mask'. It's so creepy how the mask changes the person who wears it. The way it takes over the wearer's personality and makes them do evil things is really frightening. The plot twists in this novel are great. You think one thing is going to happen, but then it goes in a completely different and scarier direction.
It has to be 'It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents—except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.' from 'A Christmas Carol' which has a bit of a horror undertone. The vivid description of the night sets a spooky mood right from the start.
My favorite horror short story is 'The Lottery' by Shirley Jackson. It's terrifying because it shows how normal people can participate in something truly horrifying without even realizing it.
My favorite horror story is 'The Shining' because of its intense atmosphere and the psychological terror it creates.
😋I recommend the following novel to you. If you want to read horror novels, I recommend Stupid Ghost, Your Face Has Lost Again and Witchcraft. " Stupid Ghost, Your Face Lost Again " was a mystery detective novel about a strange ghost in a family, while " Witchcraft " was a fantasy romance novel that covered all kinds of strange stories. If you want to read a romance novel, I recommend Rebirth Spoils You to the Bone and Rebirth Dream Dance Ballet. Among them," Rebirth Loves You to the Bone " was a modern romance and urban life novel, telling the story of a female lead and a peerless good man who unconditionally indulged her, while " Rebirth Dream Ballet " was a modern romance and urban life novel, telling the story of the female lead in the field of dance. I hope you like my recommendation.😗
For me, it's 'Monster Blood'. The ooey - gooey monster blood that has a life of its own and causes chaos is really cool in a horror - filled way. The main character's struggle with this strange substance that keeps growing and causing trouble is quite engaging. It's one of those novels that you can't stop reading once you start.
For 'The Tell - Tale Heart', it's the psychological aspect. The way the narrator's mind slowly unravels is what makes it special. His guilt over the murder makes him hear things that may or may not be real. It really gets into the human psyche and how our own minds can be our worst enemies.
😋My favorite novel is The Storyteller Walking in the Heavens. This book was about a storyteller who walked in different worlds and myths, telling all kinds of magical stories and legends. At the same time, he was also searching for his own goal and meaning. This story was full of fantasy and mystery, and it was fascinating. I hope you like my recommendation.😗
