What is your favorite horror novel?
I really love 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker. The classic vampire story is just so captivating and creepy.
For me, 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley is the best. The idea of creating life and the consequences are truly spine-chilling.
My favorite horror novel has to be 'The Shining' by Stephen King. The isolation and psychological horror build up so well and it's just terrifying.

My least favorite horror story is 'The Ring'. The idea of a cursed videotape that kills you after you watch it is just too creepy for me. The constant feeling of being watched by the girl from the tape, Sadako, is really unnerving.

I like 'The Haunted Mask'. It's so creepy how the mask changes the person who wears it. The way it takes over the wearer's personality and makes them do evil things is really frightening. The plot twists in this novel are great. You think one thing is going to happen, but then it goes in a completely different and scarier direction.

My favorite horror short story is 'The Lottery' by Shirley Jackson. It's terrifying because it shows how normal people can participate in something truly horrifying without even realizing it.

For 'The Tell - Tale Heart', it's the psychological aspect. The way the narrator's mind slowly unravels is what makes it special. His guilt over the murder makes him hear things that may or may not be real. It really gets into the human psyche and how our own minds can be our worst enemies.
