Flower Travels was an ancient fantasy novel that told the story of the monk and his disciples who went to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures. In the novel, the story of Sun Wukong and Red Boy was a relatively important character. Red Boy had come to Tang Sanzang and his disciple's side in hopes of receiving help because his parents had been eaten by demons. Under the relentless efforts of Tang Sanzang and the others, Red Boy eventually grew into a powerful hero and helped them obtain the true scriptures. Hua Youji's ending was tragic. After obtaining the sutra, Tang Sanzang and his disciples returned to the Tang of the East, but Red Boy was unwilling to return to his hometown. He wandered alone on the road to the Western Paradise to obtain Buddhist scriptures. In the end, he fell into the demonic path because he missed his loved ones and was captured by the demons. In the end, Tang Sanzang and company were unable to prevent Red Boy's Travels of the Fallen Flower from ending tragically.
