Bing Xin was both modern and contemporary in China. She was born in Beijing in 1899 and received a good education since childhood. She studied at Tsinghua University and the First University of Leon in France. Bingxin's works used maternal love, kinship, and friendship as the main theme to describe the characters of girls, mothers, and daughters. Her works were fresh, soft, and emotional, and were deeply loved by readers. Her works had won many domestic and international literary awards, including "Stars" and "Spring Water", which were known as "the mother of modern Chinese literature".
