Shandong was a province in China with a long history and many talented people. The following are some famous people in Shandong history: Confucius (551 - 479 B.C.), also known as Confucius, was a great ancient Chinese ideologist, politician, and teacher. He was born in Qufu, Shandong Province today, which had a profound influence on the development of Chinese culture and thought. Mozi (5th century B.C. -4th century B.C.), also known as Mohism, was a famous ideologist, teacher, and strategist during the Warring States Period. He was born in Mozi Town, Shandong Province, and was one of the founders of the Mohist School. Li Qingzhao (1084 - 1155) was a famous female poet and writer in the Song Dynasty of China. She was born in today's Jinan, Shandong Province. Her works of Ci were regarded as classics in the history of ancient Chinese literature. Wu Song (1100 - 1161) was a famous bold and unconstrained poet and writer in the Song Dynasty of China. He was born in Yanggu County, Shandong Province today.
