The Balls of Suet of Moupassant was a French novel by Franco-Luc picard. The novel was published in 1882. It was about a greedy businessman who used his social connections and money to obtain a priceless suet ball and presented it to the French president through a series of complicated means. Through describing the protagonist's complicated psychological activities and behaviors in order to pursue the suet ball, the novel reveals the greed and selfishness of human nature, and at the same time, it also shows the protagonist's struggle and inner contradiction in front of morality and law. The novel is regarded as one of the most important masterpieces in the history of French literature and one of the masterpieces of French realism.
