Ba Jin's two famous trilogies,"Home","Spring" and "Autumn", were published in 1938, 1939 and 1940 respectively. "Home" is a work depicting the contradictions and pain of Chinese feudal families. With the protagonist "I" as the representative, it truly reflects the style of Chinese society and the living conditions of the people through what "I" saw and heard. Spring and Autumn, on the other hand, described the life and struggles of the Shanghai capitalist families in the 1920s and early 1930s, as well as the conflicts and struggles between different classes of characters. They were classic works of modern Chinese novels.
