The EXE format of an e-book is actually a packaged file consisting of a text file and a link file. The link file points to other resource files such as pictures, audio, video, etc. Because the EXE format e-book contains too many linked files and the addresses of the linked files are often scattered, the e-book is very unstable when downloading and reading, and it is easy to cause problems such as file corruption and link errors. In addition, there may also be copyright issues in the Exe format e-book because the format was not considered for copyright protection when it was created, so there may be copyright violation situations. Therefore, most e-book readers currently do not allow users to download and install e-books in the EXE format to avoid possible legal risks. Although the Exe format e-books could be easily managed and stored in theory, most users preferred to use other e-books such as PDF-s and ZPs due to its instability and copyright issues.
