The method system of literary theory could usually be divided into the following levels: Phenomenological level: pay attention to the literary phenomenon itself, such as the text structure, language use, character image, etc. Through the analysis and interpretation of literary works, explore the essence and significance of literature. 2. The level of language studies: The study of literary works as a part of the language system, studying the grammar, semantics, pragmatic and other characteristics of literary language and the application of these characteristics in literary works. The third level of history: to view literary works as part of the human social and cultural system and study the historical background, cultural context, social trends of thought, and the influence of these historical backgrounds and trends on literary works. The fourth level of philosophy: to regard literature as a kind of answer to philosophical questions. Political/social level: view literature as a reflection of politics or social systems.
