The classic I read this semester was One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel García Márquez. This book tells the story of several generations of a family and their connection to the history and politics of Latino America. The protagonist of the book was José Alcadeo Garcia Márquez. He was one of the main characters of the book and the main driver of the story. This book is a classic masterpiece of Latino literature and is widely regarded as one of Garcia Márquez's most famous works. It had won many important awards, including the Nobel Prize in Literature.
