The first large-scale historical biography in China was the Spring and Autumn Annals, also known as Zuo Zhuan. It was one of the ancient history books of China. It was a comprehensive and detailed history book that recorded the politics, military, and culture of the Spring and Autumn Period with historical events and figures as clues. The Spring and Autumn Annals recorded 154 years from 770 B.C. to 476 B.C. It was not only one of the representative works of ancient Chinese history books, but also an important part of Chinese culture.
