What is the earliest existing annals in our country?

The earliest existing chronicle in our country is the Spring and Autumn Annals. The author is Ouyang Xiu, a writer of the Northern Song Dynasty. The Spring and Autumn Annals was one of the earliest historical records in ancient China. It was originally a record of the deeds of Duke Ai of Lu, Confucius, and their descendants by the historians of the State of Lu. Later, it was valued by the successive monarchs and became one of the important representative works of ancient Chinese history books.
