Real life is indeed crueler than movies and novels because these fictional works usually reflect the goodness and beauty of human nature by shaping beautiful characters and plots. In real life, people often face many challenges and difficulties such as illness, employment, poverty, interpersonal problems, etc. These difficulties often lead to people losing their dignity and self-worth, making life even crueler. Many plots in movies and novels only exist to show the dark side of human nature, such as violence, abuse, murder, etc. These plots are not common in real life. Therefore, although the plots in movies and novels are shocking and terrifying, life in reality is more real and cruel. We need to face and overcome difficulties bravely.
