The Witcher: The Apprentice of Kaer Morhen
In 1228, a veteran Witcher player finds himself transmigrated into the body of a young apprentice named Arwen Thyssen. That year, the Northern Kingdoms are busy expanding their borders, war is everywhere, and monsters roam the wilderness. It should have been the golden age of Witchers, but the infamous book Freaks nearly destroys their place in the world.
Arwen, however, awakens a skill proficiency system. By killing monsters, he can absorb their mutants and gain unique talents:
Slay a Water Ghost → gain Underwater Breathing (White)
Slay a Dragon → gain Dragon’s Eye (Orange)
And when the monsters are too strong? He grinds his skills to perfection:
Apprentice Swordsmanship → LvMax → Blade Perception (White)
Starry Sky Meditation → LvMax → Avatar to Godhood (Rainbow)
Years later, the North-South War erupts, and the Northern Kingdoms fall. On the banks of the Pontal River, Emperor Emhyr var Emris of Nilfgaard, the white flame dancing before the enemy’s grave, raises his head to face a black-haired, golden-eyed man seated upon the Iron Throne.
The herald’s voice declares:
“Before you stands His Majesty Arwen Thyssen, mentor of the Witcher Order, Dragon Slayer, Terminator of the White Frost Prophecy, Peacemaker of Races, Outstanding Graduate of Aretusa, Member of the Association of Talents and Arts, and Lord of the Kovir Empire.”
